Pat and MoosePat Saunders-White has gained a national following for her ability to capture a pet's image. Her distinctive style, stunning combination of subject matter, bold composition and searing color is instantly recognizable. For Pat, painting is an intuitive journey, a natural extension of her 'gut level' method of painting.

She seeks to preserve the character and 'aura' of each of her subjects. Using color to evoke emotional reactions from the observer, she paints with great energy and enthusiasm. Her combination of colors are dictated to her by the subject matter, not from what she sees in the reference photos.

Pat demos her painting style in at the Lincoln Gallery in Loveland, COPat lives in Loveland, Colorado close to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. She paints from her studio where she is always inspired by two great fans and companions. Moose, her Anatolian Shepard and her 'unpaid artist assistant' Charles, her husband. Pat received her BA degree in Studio Art from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin at the age of 50 and launched her full time career as an artist when she moved to Colorado in 1999.

Her schedule is a busy one and there are always commissions and personal artwork underway. Each year she participates in regional and national juried shows across the country. She teaches children's workshops, and volunteers her time to share her experiences as an artist with local schools.

Pat is represented by several galleries, pet boutiques and private businesses. Contact her for locations near you.
